This monthly activity involves all students in turn, aiming to improve public speaking skills. Through observations and interviews, muhadhoroh is proven to make a significant contribution in honing the rhetorical, mental, and public speaking skills of santri. The muhadhoroh process at Pondok Pesantren Al-Asy'ariyyah 3 is divided into preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. In the preparation stage, students compile material and study rhetoric theory, while the implementation stage involves public displays with various themes. Evaluation is carried out to provide input and suggestions for improvement in the next muhadhoroh. Although it has great potential, some obstacles such as lack of material preparation, students' fear, and lack of interest need to be overcome. Suggestions to improve the effectiveness of muhadhoroh involve material preparation training, intensive mentoring programs, the formation of a management team, the introduction of the positive value of muhadhoroh, and the organization of public speaking events outside the boarding school. The rapid flow of globalization has threatened the existence of pesantren, so the idea of modernization in the pesantren environment emerged in order to answer the challenges of social transformation needs. However, many people are concerned about the idea of modernization of pesantren that is oriented to the present can affect the identity and main functions of pesantren. Meanwhile, the focus of this research is How Problems and efforts to Reformulate Institutional, Curriculum, and Methodology of Pesantren in Azyumardi Azra's Perspective? The purpose of this research is to find out the Problems and Efforts of Institutional Reformulation, Curriculum, and Methodology of Pesantren in the perspective of Azyumardi Azra. This research is useful in the development, development and improvement of scientific treasures in the dimension of Islamic education and is also useful for readers and the addition of Library Scientific Works in educational institutions. In this study using a research methodology, among others 1: Literature Review, 2. Data Source: Primary Data Source; Azyumardi Azra's works and relevant secondary sources. 3. Study Method: Descriptive Method. In conclusion, the modernization of pesantren in the form of institutions such as agriculture, fisheries or public schools within the pesantren environment has led to the deterioration of the identity of pesantren as educational institutions for Tafaqquh fi Al-Din and producing ulama'. According to Azra, pesantren must appreciate all developments that occur in the present and future so that they can still produce broad-minded ulama'. Including general sciences in the pesantren curriculum has raised the issue of how exactly to epistomologically explain empirical sciences or secular sciences systematically. According to Azyumardi Azra, the idea of orienting pesantren to the "current" curriculum needs to be reviewed because it may have a negative impact on the existence of the pesantren's main task. Azra expects that pesantren must orient the improvement of the quality of their students towards the mastery of Islamic religious sciences. The use of a strict and rigid methodology in a curriculum system that prioritizes cognitive mastery alone, according to Azra, can result in the process of forming the character and personality of students being neglected. Azra expects pesantren to maintain its methodology, namely towards the learning process, taklim and takdib so that pesantren can form students into pious Muslims.</p> Heru Siswanto Copyright (c) 2023 Al-Amin Journal: Educational and Social Studies 2023-12-31 2023-12-31 8 02 132 144 Islamic Cultural History Subject Teacher's Renewal Efforts in Increasing Student Learning Interest https://ojs.kopertais14.or.id/index.php/alamin/article/view/372 <p style="text-align: justify;">This research aims to find out the learning of the History of Islamic Culture, to find out how the SKI subject teacher's reform efforts have increased the learning interest of class VIII students, to find out the reform efforts of the SKI subject teacher in increasing the learning interest of class VIII students at MTs Negeri 1 Wonosobo. These techniques include problem definition, cause and effect analysis, moral conclusion drawing, and therapy recommendation formulation. In order to gather study data, a number of news items were observed and subsequently analyzed. Data for this study were gathered by researchers using documented techniques; This information is gathered from a variety of sources, including websites pertaining to the research topic, publications, and articles. The analysis's findings demonstrate that the choice to identify the issue of reporting face-to-face learning regulations was made by Nadiem Makarin, Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. A review of the literature reveals that CNN Indonesia's online news reported on the face-to-face learning policy twelve times in June 2021. CNN Indonesia, an online news outlet, also covered this policy's news extensively in July 2021. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology intends to switch back to in-person instruction because assessments from distant learning are no longer valid. The Teachers and Education Association (P2G), which disapproved of the face-to-face learning policy, is among those who oppose the idea. P2P surveyed parents and teachers of their students. According to the statistics, 78% of educators and 75% of parents prefer in-person instruction; nevertheless, online media outlet CNN Indonesia argues that the remaining 25% needs to be taken into account and balanced. In actuality, mass communication is a mechanism that successfully disseminates messages.</p> Hadiqoh Asmuni Putri Maja Mulia Kulzum Copyright (c) 2023 Al-Amin Journal: Educational and Social Studies 2023-12-31 2023-12-31 8 02 243 256 The Role of Science Village on Students' Science Literacy in Karangkajen Yogyakarta https://ojs.kopertais14.or.id/index.php/alamin/article/view/427 <p>This research aims to find out how the scientific literacy teaching and learning process is implemented in the Karangkajen Science Village, Yogyakarta.
